Blake Lively and Justin Baldoni entered the Manhattan federal courthouse on Wednesday to explore the possibility of settling a lawsuit filed by Lively that accuses Baldoni of sexual harassment during the filming of their upcoming romantic drama, It Ends With Us. Despite a lengthy six-hour negotiation session, no settlement was reached.

Following the proceedings, the two left separately; Lively appeared visibly stern while Baldoni left smiling. His attorney confirmed that the efforts to settle were inconclusive.

The case has attracted considerable attention, not just for the allegations but for its potential implications regarding gender dynamics and power relations in Hollywood. Lively's lawsuit claims that Baldoni, along with a crisis communications expert, engaged in a campaign to damage her reputation after she raised concerns about his behavior on set.

Countering Lively's claims, Baldoni and his production company, Wayfarer Studios, have countersued for defamation and extortion against both Lively and her husband, actor Ryan Reynolds. However, these countersuits have been dismissed by the presiding judge.

As the trial date of May 18 approaches, Lively's legal team has indicated that several high-profile figures—including singer Taylor Swift and actor Hugh Jackman—may be called to testify, potentially turning the trial into a star-studded event that could revisit important discussions about gender and power in the industry.
