In a late‑night cyberattack on Nov. 2, Russia’s emergencies ministry mobile app was taken offline, a TASS spokesperson announced, as reported by Reuters. The attack enabled a flurry of false information to circulate across the public’s mobile channels.

The ministry is working to restore service, but it has so far provided no additional details on the breach’s scope or on how long the app will remain unavailable.

As of now, Reuters has not received further updates from the ministry or TASS beyond the initial statement.
