Despite an extensive search by her owners and the local community, Valerie was not seen again until recently, when she was spotted approximately 10 miles from her original location at Stoke’s Bay.Kangala Wildlife Rescue confirmed via social media last week that Valerie, identifiable by her distinctive pink collar, is alive. Yet rescuing her has proven to be a challenge, as she is wary of humans and quickly flees at any sign of vehicles or people.The rescue team has been implementing various strategies, including surveillance and specialized trapping techniques, to locate Valerie. “This is a tiny dog in a vast area, and we will need the public’s assistance to track her sightings,” they stated.In an encouraging update, Jared from the Kangala team revealed they had narrowed down the search area and had consistent sightings of Valerie, igniting hope for her safe return. Josh Fishlock, Valerie’s owner, expressed gratitude for the newfound leads, noting the initial skepticism but acknowledged the reassuring reports.
