In brief

The contract, announced in Abu Dhabi on Nov. 3 2026, will see TotalEnergies receive up to 1.6 million tonnes of LNG over five years. ADNOC Gas CEO Fatema Al Nuaimi hailed the deal as a testament to the company’s reliability, while TotalEnergies’ Stéphane Michel emphasized the strategic value of the new supply for its portfolio. The agreement fits into ADNOC’s broader plan to expand its LNG marketing and trading platform beyond 2030.

ADNOC Gas plc announced on Tuesday, 3 November 2026 that it has signed a five‑year liquefied natural gas (LNG) supply agreement with TotalEnergies for up to 1.6 million tonnes. The deal came in Abu Dhabi and extends a long‑standing partnership between the two companies.

Fatema Al Nuaimi, chief executive officer of ADNOC Gas, said that the agreement demonstrates the company’s reliability and its competitiveness in securing long‑term LNG contracts. “Global demand for LNG continues to grow, and ADNOC Gas is well positioned to capture that opportunity. This agreement reflects the strength of our LNG business, the competitiveness of our supply offering and our ability to secure long‑term partnerships that support growth, enhance resilience and create lasting value for shareholders,” she told reporters.

Stéphane Michel, president of Gas, Renewables & Power at TotalEnergies, welcomed the contract, noting it marks “another important milestone in our long‑standing partnership and highlights our commitment to deepening our cooperation for the long term.” He added that the new supply would help TotalEnergies maintain its position as a major LNG portfolio supplier, thanks to the port’s strategic location between Europe and Asia.

This agreement is part of ADNOC’s newly launched global LNG marketing and trading platform, which merges the marketing activities of ADNOC Gas and XRG with the trading capabilities of ADNOC Trading. The platform aims to reach 47 million tonnes per annum of marketable LNG beyond 2030 and is expected to rank among the world’s leading LNG marketing organisations. ADNOC has also announced that the future integration of Ruwais LNG will significantly increase its LNG production capacity, further positioning the company to meet rising global demand.
