Three aircraft—a Copenhagen to Sofia, a Madrid to Sofia, and a London to Sofia flight—were targeted after bomb threats surfaced, according to Bulgarian media. The news was also carried by Xinhua, which cited the claims reported by local outlets.
A LOT Polish Airlines flight from Warsaw to Brussels received a suspicious report, as reported by Belgian news outlet BRUZZ citing Belga News Agency. Xinhua relays that the plane landed safely at Brussels Airport with no security breaches.
In all four cases, authorities, including airport security teams and emergency responders, managed the threats with standard protocols. Passengers were advised to remain seated and follow crew instructions until the aircraft safely touched down.
Our investigation teams confirm that no incidents occurred. Bomb threats were reported but did not result in any damage or injuries, and all aircraft have returned to normal operations.
