Russia’s Federal Security Service (FSB) said Saturday it had received information from the United States about preparations for a possible terrorist attack in Moscow, and that it was taking “relevant measures.” The information came “through partner channels,” the FSB said in a statement, adding that relevant work is underway to address the threat.
The U.S. embassy in Moscow responded by issuing a security alert on X, warning of a possible mass‑casualty event on the same day at the Tsaritsyno Museum Reserve. The embassy said the U.S. government was coordinating with the appropriate Russian authorities in response to the threat.
The FSB’s statement was reported by Xinhua, which noted the alert and coordination as the latest development.
