The new departure at 15:20 Moscow time (14:20 Sharjah time) follows the G9 806 flight at 22:55 Moscow time (18:50 Sharjah time). The expansion is expected to enhance passenger routes to the Maldives, Phuket, Colombo, Bangkok, Jeddah, Medina, and Dhaka via Sharjah. Meanwhile, Gulf News reports broader UAE flight disruptions, urging travelers to check schedules before heading to airports.

On December 12, 2026, Air Arabia will launch a second daily flight between Moscow’s Domodedovo Airport and Sharjah International Airport, adding a new service, flight G9 951. The new flight departs at 15:20 Moscow time, which corresponds to 14:20 local time in Sharjah, and will operate on an Airbus A320neo configured with a single‑class cabin that seats 174 passengers. The existing daily flight, G9 806, will continue to depart at 22:55 Moscow time (18:50 local time in Sharjah).

The expansion is expected to broaden travel options for passengers connecting through Sharjah, providing easier access to destinations in the Middle East and Southeast Asia including the Maldives, Phuket, Colombo, Bangkok, Jeddah, Medina and Dhaka. The airline’s press release noted that the increased frequency would strengthen Sharjah’s role as a regional hub and enhance connectivity to these popular destinations.

In other aviation news, Gulf News has reported ongoing disruptions to flights in the United Arab Emirates, warning passengers to check flight status before heading to the airport. The outlet specifically mentioned that Emirates, Etihad, flydubai and Air Arabia were adjusting schedules in response to the disruptions, although it did not confirm that the new Domodedovo‑Sharjah service was affected. The report does not provide a verification of any specific cancellation or delay for the new service.
