Bangkok’s Thailand Space Expo 2026, still in progress on Oct. 30, has attracted more than 85 companies, according to Xinhua reporting on the event’s fourth day. The expo has also hosted over 50 forum sessions featuring more than 100 world‑class space experts discussing the space economy, lunar exploration, and satellite engineering.
Vice Minister for Foreign Affairs Sarun Charoensuwan, speaking during the expo’s keynote, underscored the importance of science, research, innovation diplomacy and human‑capital development for Thailand’s space industry. He called for stronger cooperation among ASEAN member states to address shared regional challenges and to promote Thailand’s participation in the global space value chain.
Over 20 pavilions have been set up, showcasing space‑technology companies and allowing Thai component manufacturers to connect with global space industry players. The expo’s business‑matching activities aim to boost space‑related investment and enhance Thailand’s competitiveness on an international stage.
The event, scheduled to run from Oct. 28 to 31, has also highlighted Thailand’s advancements across academic, industrial, and investment sectors, as noted in a Government Public Relations Department press release. Paraguay‑based press outlets and regional commentary also point to the expo’s role in positioning Thailand as a key player in the peaceful, safe and sustainable use of outer space.
