Moscow Restaurant Explosion: Three People Killed, 15 Injured

At least three people have been killed and 15 injured in an explosion at a restaurant in Moscow, police say.
The blast, which occurred at around 20:00 local time (17:00 GMT), took place on Kudrinskaya Square near the city centre. Initial reports suggest the explosion happened in the restaurant’s kitchen, though the exact cause remains unclear. A witness communicating via the Baza Telegram channel revealed that the venue was hosting a wedding reception attended by about 50 guests. He described seeing attendees being dragged out, covered in blood, after the blast.
Roads surrounding the square were briefly closed. A cycling event scheduled for the evening was cancelled as a precaution after the explosion.
Video footage from Russia’s RIA news agency shows heavily armed law‑enforcement officers present at the scene, which was cordoned off for the public.
